Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but you're moving way too fast, and I cannot understand why.

Your birds need a lot of time to get used to you, your home any other family members and pets before they will even be willing to allow you to pick them up much less breed. Also breeding is a private affair, and it will take even more time before you ever see it.

Remove the nestbox and leave it out for the entire season because your birds have to be comfortable in their new home before you see any type of desire to breed if you ever do. Some birds do not like the mates we choose, so you'll have to see about that later.

Your birds will also need to be taken to an Avian Vet now to make sure they have no infections or other physical problems. Take them to ONLY an Avian Vet as a dog and cat vet will kill them.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but birds are not wind-up toys who do what we want them to do when we want them to do it. They are all individuals and will breed when they are ready to breed and not one minute sooner, so slow down and learn all you need to know about breeding birds. This includes how to handfeed using a syringe and baby parrot handfeeding formula only. The formula is found here as are organic pellets which is the only food that will ever get your birds into condition for breeding. If you're feeding all seeds or table food, your birds will never come into the right condition for living much less breeding.

Slow down and enjoy your wonderful birds for who they are and not for what they can do for you. What can you do for them is the question here.

Thanks for writign,
Linda
