How to get a wild Orange fronted conure to eat seeds?

I have recently rescued a 1 legged half moon conure that can't fly. (S)he only eats fruits and won't touch the bagged seeds. I've noticed it's feces is runny. How do I get a wild bird to start eating other things?

TIA

First of all, your bird is sick and will need to be seen by an Avian Vet in your area. The reason he is not eating seeds is that in the wild they eat many other things and very little seed.

You will need to get him diagnosed and treated by an Avian Vet BEFORE he will eat anything you are offering. He is a wild bird and may NEVER become tame. Please take him to an Avian Vet in your area so his infection can be treated.

An organic pelleted diet is much better than seeds, but until he is well, he is not going to want to eat much of anything except his fruit. Keep giving him what he will eat to keep him from starving and becoming dehydrated.

Let us know what the Avian Vet has to say.
