Indian Ringneck needs to see a vet
by: The Vet

This is not normal and you should have your bird seen by an avian veterinarian. His diet should be 80% pellets, I recommend Harrison's, and 20% treats, commercial treats, table food, fruits and vegetables, etc.

Table Food
by: Linda

First of all, please do not feed your bird anything off your table. Most table food (people food) has salt or other seasonings in it that will be harmful to a bird or even a dog or cat for that matter. Sugar, salt and condiments are poison for a bird, so feed him a high quality organic pelleted diet like Harrison's and feed him the organic veggies recommended by Harrisons. Tracie carries the pellets here as well as their very tasty and nutritious Birdy Bread Mix. Use the Sunshine Factor organic Red Palm Oil you will find here for the oil mix calls for. Also use only egg whites and not the yellows in the mix as the yellows add too much fat to the mix.

Birds need to eat bird food and people need to eat people food. Check out the organic pelleted food on this site and get your bird changed over from seed to pellets if he is eating an all seed diet. You need not use any vitamin/mineral supplements when feeding the Harrisons diet as it is 100% complete.

Hope this helps, and if your bird continues to have digestive upsets, he may need to see an Avian Vet in your area.
