Infertiled eggs

My 2 yr old sun concur laid 6 eggs total. She has not been mated, and only sits on 3. How long should I let her sit on them. This started about 3 weeks ago.

Infertiled eggs

Infertile eggs are poison because they go rancid just like chicken eggs left out of the refrigerator. If bird breaks one and eats contents, she can die from eating rotten eggs.I've had this happen in the far past, and it is not a pleasant way to die nor to have to watch it.

Remove and throw away all eggs as soon as they are laid. Do a search on net for "fake" eggs for your size/species bird and get at least 4 of them. The fake eggs can be substituted for the real eggs as they are laid which is every other day. Keep the fake eggs clean and allow bird to sit on them to her heart's content. Laying 6 eggs is too many since 4 is maximum for any type of bird nest. Until you get the fake eggs and start using them, she may continue to lay eggs which is harmful for her, so get the fake eggs and for now, throw away all the eggs in there.
