info on green cheek conures

i got a 7 month old green cheek conure yesturday and just want to find out if i need to provide the gravel stuff that i used to use with my parakeets. that was all i needed.

No gravel for parrots

You should not feed your bird gravel, ever. It is not necessary in a parrots diet and should not be offered. One of the big problems with grit is that they can over eat it and become impacted.

This is true for the parakeets also. You should be feeding your birds 80% quality pellets, no colored pellets, and 20% quality seed and treats.

Harrison's is the best pellet in my opinion. If you need instructions on how to encourage your birds to eat pellets, read my Switching Birds to Pellets article.
