Injured wing

Hi I have a 6 week old handfed green cheek pineapple. I went to feed it and it was laying on his back. I picked her up and she was fine except her wing wont go all the way close to the body. Its just sticking out a little bit. It keeps flapping its wings trying to fly, and dont seem injured. should I be concerned about this? Very bummed out about it. Thanks Rae Ann

Any bird found laying on its back is either sick injured or trained to do this trick. Take him to a vet. If he could fly and now he can't there is something seriously wrong.

Bird with possible injury
by: Tracie

I am confused by your description. If the bird can not bring it's wing back to it's body, then why does it not seem injured? (I am not being sarcastic, just explaining that it is confusing.)

If the bird might be injured, then you need to get the bird to an avian vet ASAP. I hope everything is or will be okay with your bird.
