Internal bleeding and death

My 3 year old Green Cheek Conure Lola died suddenly yesterday. She fell to the ground while sitting looking out the window. There was blood coming from her mouth. About a week prior she escaped and was flying outdoors for about an hour. When I caught her and brought her home she seemed fine and was extra loving. Yesterday morning we have eggs and toast and she was happy within 20 minutes she was dead. What could have caused her death?

Bird suddenly died
by: Tracie

I am sorry for your loss. :-(

There are soooo many things that birds die of, it is impossible to tell you what killed her. It could have been a disease or internal injury from when she escaped. It could have been a stroke. It could have been something toxic she breathed or ingested. The only sure way to know is to have a necropsy done, that is like a bird autopsy.
