You will need to Find an Avian Vet for your bird so it can be examined to determine what is wrong and what the potential treatment might be. If the vent is swollen, it is possible that your bird is egg bound or has a tumor. If your bird is eating 80% Harrison's or Roudybush pellets, then you don't have to worry if the bird is egg bound. Getting egg bound is a nutritional problem.
