Is food that tastes sweet or contains sugar is not good for parrots?

My parrot loves food that contains sugar.he eats too much of sweet food and cold drinks. Is it injurious to his health?

I agree with Linda & Tracie stop giving what you have been.
Have you tried things like Palm fruit oil on it's food, palm nuts, sugar cane they love them.

Sugar and salt will kill your birds. They are supposed to be fed only parrot foods and no people foods of any kind because of salt, sugar and fat. A diet like Tracie mentioned is called a healthy diet, and this is the only kind of diet for a bird.

In small birds, a little bit of sugar will kill them so quickly, they fall down dead. It is one of the worst things a person can feed a bird except for salt and fat that is.

Yes, it is very bad for the bird's health. Your bird needs to be eating healthy pellets like Harrison's or Roudybush and no pellets with sugar and a bunch of chemicals.
