My Cockatiel

I have had my cockatiel for about three years and i named it Gracie, but a friend said it looked like a male because of its white head. Can you tell if its a male or female? Thank you for your help.

You can tell your birds gender by if it is a boy he would whistle and chirp and be really noisy and loud. But if it's a girl then she would be quieter but still churp often.

You have a male. He is a normal grey white face. They are easy to ID as they can be ID'd in the exact same way as normal grey (traditional) cockatiels. The male has a solid white face. They female has a 'washed' faded white face.

The only sure way to know is by having the bird either surgically sexed or a DNA test done. Please read the article at for more information.
