Is tuna fish juice OK for a parrot to eat on its parrot pellet food?

Just curious, is the juice from a can of tuna fish harmful or OK for a parrot to digest if a little was put on parrot pellet food? I'm talking about tuna packed in water, not in oil...

You might want to consider that the water from tuna is probably high in salt. I would limit the amount and/or frequency of feeding it to your birds.

Hi Steve,

Birds can eat fish, just read the label and see if there are any chemicals in the food. Also, consider where it was caught and if it might have mercury in it.
