Jenday Conure wing twitching...

by Brett Lynch

We have a 4 month old Jenday Conure.. Out of no where she began having this twitch in her left wing accompanied by a small squeak. It doesn't seem to be hurting her as she still carries on with herself, doing the normal little "tasting" nibble on random objects. She's still eating, sleeping, and drinking her water like normal. So we're just a bit curious to find out if it's a normal action, or should we go to a vet..

wing twitch

my jenday started wing twitching after I got his wings clipped for the first tIme a week and a half ago why?

Editor's note: could be they cut the wings too short and it hurts. In the future if you want people to see and answer, you need to post a question, not an answer here to another question, on our Parrot Questions page.

Conure with wing twitch
by: Tracie

It could be any number of things. It could be a feather shaft poking it, a tumor, an infection, an injury etc. Sorry, as far as I can tell the only way to find out what is wrong and get the correct treatment is to Find an Avian Vet so it can be examined.

Since you say it does make a little noise with the twitch, that indicates to me that it may be in pain or have discomfort.
