Juvenile bird tail feathers ragged
by: Tracie

Typically birds have ragged tail feathers until their first molt. Because the babies spend their time walking around the bottom of the cage, their tails drag and get messed up. Once they start perching and then molting, their tail feathers will not get all messy.
