It could be lost
by: Christina

Hello :-) That sure is a lovely bird and it was very kind of you to rescue it. But please try to find its owner by looking in the lost and found in the paper and by looking around online, and by telling all the local vets and animal and bird sheletrs that you have found it. So that if the owner contacts any of these places they will know who has it. Someone might love and miss this bird very much. I have lost a few birds, and let me tell you, it is something you never get over. Only keep him if you can't find the owner. Thank you :-)

Alexandrine??
by: Kim

I think it is more likely a blue mutation Alexandrine Parakeet (Family: Psittacidae) from the shape of the head and beak, and the bone structure in this photo. It is very hard to tell without seeing it in person! Gorgeous bird, though :) I would take it to an avian vet - first to be sure it is healthy, but also to find out what it is!
