full spectrum for birds

It is not unsafe, but it is not the optimal lighting. I recommend that you purchase one made specifically for birds. The best full spectrum light available now is the ZooMed AvianSun Lamp and Bulb.

You will need full spectrum lights as these may be. You will need to find a company in your country that sells them. You'll need to use an extension cord so they can plug into wall socket. Be sure and tape the cords to wall so birds cannot get to them and hang lights high enough so birds also cannot get to them when out of cage.

You do not need any additional heat lamps unless your house is not heated and/or extremely cold.Birds do well at around 70F and cages need to be out of any kind of draft like from a window or heat/air vent.

Thanks for writing and Happy New Year!
