Pin feathers with liquid inside

Pin feathers are new feathers and all new feathers have a blood supply that nourishes them as they grow. When the feather is mature the blood supply is cut off. I recommend though that you have your bird examined to be sure this is not a medical issue such as Beak and Feather Disease virus.

The pin feathers are holders for the feathers. It could be that they don't have feathers in them as yet. The other problem could be they are mal-formed for whatever reason.

Keep an eye on the pin feathers, and if they don't turn into hard casings shortly, you'll need to take your bird to an Avian Vet only to have him examined.
