Sidney - Corella Cockatoo

We rescued this bird..and she is adjusting well, lovable, talkative, playful. When she snuggles, I hear that she seems "stuffy" when she breathes. Is this normal? She will be going to the vet, but thought I would throw out the questions.

Corella Cockatoo with "stuffy" breathing
by: Tracie

Bless you for rescuing this beautiful bird. The "stuffy" sound could be a bacterial infection or something else. Please Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird to rule out infection and disease. Do not take the bird to a regular dog/cat vet, because they lack the training and experience to treat birds and often kill them accidentally.
