Lorikeet is itching

Our Rainbow Lorekeet is itching and most of the time does not know where to start, have taken her to the vet without much success i dont think our bird is malting or growing new feathers. She has lost feathers on her neck (top) and near her claws. Our lory is 17 years old.

Bird itching and losing feathers

Have you taken your bird to an avian vet, or a regular dog/cat vet? You may need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird.

If the room the bird lives in is too dry, due to heaters or if you live in a arid area, then you may need to add a humidifier to the room.
