Lorikeet is rubbing hand.Why?

My female lorikeet is rubbing my hand whenever i put it next to her when she is chattering softly. Why is that?

Your bird is likely showing you affection. If the bird is rubbing it's vent on you, then you should discourage this behavior because it is mating behavior and may encourage her to go into breeding mode and start laying eggs.

If she rubs her vent (bottom) on you, then just tell her "nooooo" in a low calm voice and put her back in the cage. Eventually she will catch on that this behavior will always result in being returned to her cage.
