lorikeet scabs on mouth

i have two lorikeets that have brown yellow scabs on their mouths .. almost looks like cold sores, does anyone know what they are??

This is likely a disease or an infection, so you need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird in person right away.

The fact that both birds have this, indicates it is contagious so keep them away from any other birds you have.

Please let us know what you find out after your avian vet appointment.
