Bird losing feathers around the eyes and nare

Your bird may have a bacterial infection or a disease. Please Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird to determine what is causing this.

Birds that drink from water dishes that are not changed out every three hours are subject to bacterial infections due to the high amount of bacteria in the water that may get in it's eyes etc. if it also dips in the dirty water.

It is best to have a Lixit water bottle for the bird to drink from and only put a shallow dish of water in the cage for a short time for the bird to bathe.
