Loss of feathers
by: Linda

If the quills are coming in through the skin, there should be nothing to worry about. If the feather loss continues to get worse, you will need to take bird to an Avian Vet in your area. If owner did not sign a "Release to Treat" form then you need to get one. Always get owner's release to treat when taking care of someone else's pets as they sometimes have to go to vet for various reasons, and you cannot legally take them if you do not have the release form. It can be a note written on a scrap of paper, just so the owner has signed and dated it, it will do fine.

Thanks for writing,
Linda
