Hello, my love bird (7 years old), played with roses all day long (chewing, cutting the leaves and petals, etc),
she is fine, but she seems to have little secretions form her nostrils.
I saw roses are not toxic but are the secretions a sign of alergies or "over dose" of plants?
(if it is relevant, she has a hear infection that we were treating with baytril and bene-bac powder. we had to change the medication two days ago for hear drops.)

thanks in advance for any comment.
JImena and Quetza.

Bird with discharge
by: The Vet

The discharge from the nares may be associated with the pollen and other particles that can be on flowers and plants causing an allergic reaction. Were the plant sprayed with any chemicals such as fertilizer, insecticides, or other chemical?

You should take your bird in to see an avian veterinarian. They may flush the nares and prescribe allergy medication.
