Lovebird has drooped head

My lovebird is about 12 yeard old, for about a month his head is drooped over to the side, almost touching ground. He is still able to eat and drink, but today is on bottom of cage and keeps falling asleep. Have you heard of this condition before and can he still live with his head in that position?? I can't afford to take to a vet. Is there any hope for my lovebird?

Lovebird dying

I am so sorry for you and your bird. Your bird is dying if it is at the bottom of the cage drooped and sleeping. I am so sorry. At least it did have a long life.

Please start a savings account if you get another bird, so you can afford to take your bird to an avian vet. Maybe decide to stop buying something at the store that you purchase because you want it, not because you need it. Put that money aside for when your bird will need medical care. Also, most avian vets take payments. It sounds like your bird is too far gone, again I am sorry for your loss.
