My Frankie 4 year old Senagal
by: Karen Stewart

My Senegal reguretates every time I walk in the room. Everyone thinks he is dancing. But he is regurgitated. Then he tries so hard to put the regurgitated substance in my mouth. Or I should say down my throat just like if she was feeding her baby. If your bird is doing this. Take it as you are very special. They only do it to the ones they love.

If you are seeing ANY undigested food in this vomit, then your bird is very sick and will need to be examined and treated by an Avian Vet in your driving area.

It is normal for birds to regurgitate on favorite people, toys and such, there should never be any undigested food in the vomit. If you are seeing this or see it, it points to a possibly viral disease that needs immediate attention if bird is to have a chance at survival.

Hopefully, it is clear liquid with no undigested food in it, and you are good to go.

Bird regurgitating

Many birds do this on their favorite toys, when they don't have a mate to feed. Please do NOT take this as a sign it needs a mate, I am just saying that it is feeding something it likes.
