Lovebird standing on one foot

Our lovebird is suddenly all fluffed up and standing on only one foot. He is not as social as usual, and is biting us - he usually just nibbles on our finger or ear gently. We have never seen him standing on one foot like this and are concerned that he may have injured himself somehow. Any ideas?

Lovebird on one foot

Normally it is a good sign when a bird sleeps on one foot, but if your bird is sleeping more than usual and has had a personality change, then you need to take your bird to an avian vet.

Dr B can not tell you if your bird is sick, because he can not examine your bird or run any tests. All he can say is that it is possible your bird is sick.

I hope your avian vet will be able to determine what is wrong quickly if anything is wrong.
