Seeds in bird droppings
by: The Avian Vet

It means he needs to be seen by an avian veterinarian. He may have an intestinal disease such as a virus, or parasite, or bacterial infection. You also nee to get him off of seeds and onto a pellet diet. Seeds are deficient in over 30 different nutrients including calcium, protein, and vitamin A. These cannot be supplemented effectively and pellets, like Harrison's, are the only way to guarantee a complete and balanced diet.

If may mean that bird is not digesting his food which is a major problem as for his health.

Food is predigested into a partially liquid form in the crop before it goes into the stomach which means no whole seeds or other bits of food should be found in poop. There are some viral infections that cause crop to not be able to digest properly, and this is usually seen with anything bird has eaten instead of just one thing.

I'd err on the side of safety and go ahead and have bird examined for infections. Bacterial infections need a throat swab to be accurate as to what kind of infection so correct meds can be prescribed. Viral infections are usually found with a blood test though they may have other ways as well. I'd do this because to be seeing any seeds in the poop may mean bird is at the beginning of something that if caught now can be cleared up without a lot of trauma for the bird.
