lump on back of wing(main Issue) along with a little background i am new owner

My cockatiel who is about 10 wks old, (got her 2 wks ago). For one thing I notice that she itches and prines herself alot while we are holding her, bends around and strokes her wings, like she's cleaning herself, she also shakes herself, then puffs out. She never bit us at all. I figured she might be molting as she seems a little uncomfortable. She seems to have a normal temperament. All of a sudden she decided to test her oats and found out she has a beak and has been testing us. The cockatiel book i have says she is like a little kid and you have to firmly say NO. Seems to be working. ANYWAY, my reason for question IS IN the shower as she got wet, the feather on the back of her right wing reveiled a little lump/bump of hard skin likeness. She lets me touch it,and i am sure it doesnt hurt her. so I hope that is positive. anybody know anything about this, any experience with it? Hopeing against hope nothing bad is wrong with her. we all love her already. her name is DJ, after my recently departed daughter who was only 18 yrs old. THanks for all of your help. Laura

Lump on bird's wing
by: Tracie

Dr. B suggests that you take your bird to see an avian vet. The bird needs to be examined physically and possibly tests run to determine what is causing this lump.
