Lump on Zebra Finch's leg or abdomen

Finch with growth

Yesterday we noticed a large lump on our zebra finches abdomen next to her left leg, or more probably on the leg itself. Hard to tell. It's a yellowish/brownish looking sac, which at first we thought to be an undeveloped egg stuck to her, but that doesn't seem to be the case. She was picking at it yesterday, haven't seen her touch it today, and she seems normally active otherwise. Any thought?

She needs to be seen by an avian veterinarian immediately. This could be several things including a prolapse, tumor, cyst, or hernia. It needs treating by a professional as soon as possible.

Yikes! That looks bad! Dr B will eventually answer this, but it might be days. I suggest you take your bird to an avian vet for an in person exam.
