Lutino Peach-faced Lovebird

Hi, I have a pair of Lutino Peach-faced Lovebird. They totally fine and are active all day. One of them some times keeps of scratching his lower part of the body on the plastic perch i have in my cage.

Can you plz help me with wht exactly is the problem with him and guide me if he needs a medical help.

Lovebird rubbing on perch

This sounds like the bird is masturbating, but Dr B can not tell without examining your bird. Please Find an Avian Vet to examine your birds yearly, and if your bird has not seen an avian vet now would be a good time to make an appointment.

You should try to find some natural wood branches for your cage and throw away plastic perches and smooth wood dowels. These items are not good for the bird's feet, they are just cheap items that come with the cages.
