no visual contact
by: Michael

i was having the same problem before ... i have a blue lacewing hen and 1 blue cock ringneck parrots ... the 3rd year of age was having 2 babies .. next year 2 babies .. 3rd year .. 3 babies ..and when was at the age of 15 days ... the babies was eaten .. my problem as i found is that i was having the pair next to another pair ... so the male ringneck was jealous about that and has eaten the babies .. the thing you can do if you have another pair next to it .. is to split the cages in order the 1 pair can not see the other pair .. is not a problem if they hear one another but the thing is the visual contact. split the pair .. no visual contact even in big distance.

Bird eating her chicks
by: Tracie

I am not a breeder, so I really don't know much about all this. I understand that when you have a bird that eats her chicks, you have to remove the chicks from the nest and hand feed them. That is the only thing I know to tell you to do.
