male hitting female with open beak

my male and female cockatiel hit eachother constantly with open beaks and they also hiss/make sounds at each other only before sleepin.today the male while attacking flew on top of the female for the first time. i do not know if they are fighting or geting along.

are you sure?because it happens only during the night and during the day the male bends his head and places it on the females chest.

but as soon as the hit eachother he flew over her n sat on her and when i approached them he wasnt angry at all it looked as if everything was fine and i interrupted them doing something good.

i dont exactly know for sure if they are fighting!because after hitting eachothers open beaks the male flew n sat over the female and they dont harm eachother.

Male and female birds fighting

Fighting with open beaks is not normally a sign that they are getting along. You should separate these birds before one or both get injured.
