Hole in tongue
by: Alex

No, this is not right. The bird has injured its tongue. Please find an avian vet to take your bird to.

Your bird will be in pain and may end up with touble eating or swelling on his tongue as it is open to infection.

Please check down the left hand side and click on "find an avian vet" if you are unsure if you have a local one.

I have added an avian vet there who does sureries around southern parts of the UK. Or visit his website with the dates and locations of his upcoming surgeries.

You could also try googling "avian vet dorset" and see what comes up.

Good luck and thanks for taking the time to write.

I do not think this is normal. You should check with a vet. It might be something REALLY serious. If you can't go to the vet for a check up check some web sites on this particular bird. If it is bad you have to go to the vet so your bird will be OK
