I believe they may start breeding around a year old. If you are wanting to breed your bird, please reconsider. There are many unwanted birds needing adoption, first of all. Second, you need to help another breeder and learn all you can before you venture out on this journey.

If you don't know what you are doing, you may lose both your female bird and the babies from complications. Make sure your bird is on a healthy pellet diet like Harrison's so that your hen does not end up with egg binding also.
