Your bird should not be missing feathers, and without a picture it's hard to tell what you are seeing. What does your avian vet say? Did the bird get a wellness certificate from an avian vet before the breeder sold the bird to you?

You can pull up pictures online of birds and compare your bird to those. There are FB groups you can join that are specifically for galah cockatoos that are helpful too.

Please take your bird to an avian vet every year for a a well exam. This allows the bird to be comfortable with vet visits, allows the avian vet to know what is normal for your bird when running tests, and allows you to catch problems early before things get serious.

Because this could be a serious disease, please use this Find an Avian Vet link to find an avian vet for your bird so it can be examined to determine what is wrong and what the potential treatment might be.
