molting Indian ring neck

my ring necked parakeet is losing a lot of feathers but acts the same as normal. I was wondering how long they molt. He has looked like this for about a month and our other girl just started growing her feathers back after several or more months. I hope you can help.

Birds losing feathers

The way you worded your question causes me to believe that when they "molt" they are losing feathers and have bare spots. When your bird is molting you can not tell where the feather fell from unless they are wing or tail feathers. There should not be spots missing feathers on the birds.

Please Find an Avian Vet for your birds to make sure they do not have a disease.
