why does my baby conure bob his head and squeak all day He does in in the same moton continuosly,if pet her head she stops but then she starts fluffing her wings and squeeking instead of the bobbing.

This Is Normal

Here is the only video (so far) of our sun conure Yoko, she is about 9 weeks old in the video. It's pretty dark, but you can see Yoko bobbing her head. This is very normal for baby Sun's (probably other conures too) and it's just how they are. They do it when they are happy or content, it's sorta like a kitten purring.

when my baby ringnecks where getting head feed, they would bob there heads continuously until they got fed even sometimes after they would still continue they eventually grew out of it. yours could be similar

Baby bird question

Hello Monica,

I don't know why your bird does this. If you are concerned that it is not normal, then either call your breeder or take the bird to an avian vet.

This could be normal for a baby, but since we don't know how old the bird is and we can't see the bird it is hard to help.
