Green Cheeked Conure question
by: Tracie

We have two Green Cheeked Conures and I can tell you that ours have gone through several personality changes as they matured.

Avoiding you can be numerous things. It could be something you wear be it clothing, perfume, hairspray, laundry detergent smell etc. It could be that someone scared the bird and now you will have to earn it's trust again and many other things.

Remember that the bird is in a new home and everything is unfamiliar. It might take a few weeks for the bird to settle in and trust you in this new environment.

We have several training articles on our Parrot Training page that talk about feeding, biting, noise to name a few.

You might also want to read some of the Conure stories on the Conure page that are located at the bottom of the cage. The first one is about our GC when we brought it home.
