Sorry

Sorry but my head is all over the place,I'm devastated I didn't even realise that I had put a question in my own post.

Editor's note: You posted as anonymous, so there was not a way to know you are the same person. You need to have a necropsy done on the bird that died to make sure it did not have something contagious.

Baby grey

The hic cup sound ,what is it a sign off. My poor baby died and I had taken him to and avian vet in Lanzarote where I live. In took him tom the vets as he couldn't stand ,one minute he was ok and the next sore leg. The vet xrayed him and said inflammation and gave him an injection and assured me he would be ok. Got worse at night and was sick so took him back gave him another 2 injections and some pain killers but he died 12 hours later. Getting a necropsy done but it's going to be 6 days till i get the results. I am devastated and would like to know some of the things that could have caused this as I also have another African grey and I'm terrified it will get sickmas well. Although he seems to be fine. Please answer this as I'm reallynworried.

Editor's note: If you want people to see and answer, you need to post a question, not an answer here to another question, at Parrot Questions

You will need to Find an Avian Vet for your bird so it can be examined to determine what is wrong and what the potential treatment might be.

Took my beautiful baby to an avian vet they said he was ok. But baby got worse ,so took him back at night. Vet xrayed him and gave him 2 injections and painkillers by the mouth told me he would be fine. I stayed up with him all night but he died z12 hours after coming back from vets.

Editor's note: I am so sorry for your loss. Please find a different avian vet if you get another bird. A good avian vet will run tests and x-rays the first time to determine a diagnosis.
