my bird got her foot caught

She will be okay unless she has broken her foot her a toe. You need to make sure your toys are the correct size for your bird, and general rule is all toys including chains need to be large enough so toes can be easily pulled out of them and small enough so they don't get their heads caught and strangle. When a bird is caught up in something, they panic and can be severely hurt.

If your bird shows any signs of limping, standing on one foot all the time or any other indications foot may be broken or hurt badly, get bird to Avian Vet for xray. Birds bones are hollow and breaks are very easy to happen.

Toys can be one of the most dangerous things in a bird's world, so make sure there are not any parts or links small enough to make this happen again.

Thanks for writing,
Linda
