my bird has lump

hi there ive had geordie my red fronted conure for 10 years although he goes through phases of feather plucking ive had him out tonight fora cuddle and noticed he has what feels like a lump although it could be swollwn its on his right side beside his ear can u gibe me any advice please im worried sick many thanks shirley
