My cockatiel fell off his perch and is now acting normal

So I woke up at 5 a.m to the sound of my cockatiel falling of his perch. It seemed to have disoriented him so he frantically started flying around the cage for a really long time. I took him out and he had his Mohawk straight up, so he was shocked. I put him back in when I calmed him and the same thing happened again.

This time I took him out and didn't put him back in. He seems fine. He grooms on my shoulder. I am now on my sofa and he didn't have trouble whistling and exploring our surroundings he even pooped on me. The dropping is solid deep green with white clusters. Is he sick? Should I put him back in his cage and go to sleep and address this problem in the morning? Whoa should I do?

cockatiel falling. . .

My first question is: how are your cackatiel's nails? Are they too short? Perhaps your cockatiel would benefit from letting his/her nails grow out a bit. . .
My other guess would be "night-frights". Try putting a night-light in the cockatiel room and see if that helps.

Good luck!

I suspect this was what some call "night frights" where something startled the bird. You can put a night light in the room, and that will help.

There is really no way of knowing if there is something wrong with your bird without a physical exam by an avian vet. It you install a night light and this continues, then you will need to have the bird examined to see if there is something physically wrong.
