Alicia, your bird is sick and needs to be taken to an Avian Vet as soon as you can get an appointment. If bird is female this could be egg binding which is a life-threatening problem. If male, he has an infection that will not get well until he is diagnosed as to what kind of bacteria and then treated for it. Do not give any over the counter meds even those from a pet store as they are very dangerous. First you need to know what kind of infection this is before it can be treated, and Avian Vet is the only one to tell you.

Please do not wait any longer to find an Avian Vet, and there is a link on this site for help in finding one if you need it.

Thanks for writing and best of luck with your sweet little bird.

Linda

Swelling on bird means vet visit
by: Tracie

Your bird needs to be seen in person by an avian vet ASAP. Dr B can not help your bird, because he can not examine it to be able to prescribe a treatment.
