my cockatiels wing is hurt

hi, my cockatiel called benny is hurt, she got a lump on her wing and it bigger now, my sister is a vet and she said that if we take her into the vet they will put her to sleep, she is not in any pain as we have our eyes on here always but it bleeds because she pecks at it, we all agreed to let her die at home but she is off balance and falls off the purch, i feel guilty, what should i do, from simone white xx

 Rays hurt wing

Hi im Brooke. My bird Ray has hurt his wing and i just notised it today when i got home from school.I know how he hurt it but i did not think he was going to get hurt by that. It may not seem that harmful but i kind of think it was to me. This is what happend,i took him out of his cage and brought him down stairs into the living room and i set him down on the floor and his foot got stuck in the carpet and when he pulled it up it got stuck in his wing.How do i cure it if my mom wont let me take it to the vet? You should take this bird to see an avian veterinarian now. Your sister (who is probably a good Dr.) is a bit pessimistic, and may not realize the advances we have achieved in avian medicine. It is not a guarantee that your bird will be put to sleep. There is something that could be done to help your bird, even if it is only antibiotics and pain management. And yes I do think she is in pain.

PLEASE TAKE HER TO AM AVIAN VET,NOT A REGULAR VET.I THINK THERE IS HELP OUT THERE..NO TIME TO WASTE.

I am so sorry to hear about Benny!
If I were you, (I know you respect your sister), but I would go and get a second opinion from another vet.
Don't throw in the towel until you have wagered ALL your options ok?
