Conure sneezing remedy
by: Tracie

There isn't exactly a remedy for sneezing in general. The sneezing could be due to an allergy, but it could also be an infection. If it is an infection, then it depends on what kind of infection what medication the avian vet will prescribe.

If your bird drinks from a dish of water, instead of a Lixit water bottle, then a bacterial infection is very possible. Birds that bathe, leave food particles and poop in water dishes and then drink and bathe in that bacteria water often end up with bacterial infections.

If your home is dry, due to running the heat, it could be as simple as needing humidity added to your home.

It could be an allergy to something in the air or from food you are feeding it. If you feed colored pellets or table food, allergy is a possibility. Hopefully you are feeding Harrison's or Roudybush pellets and this is not an issue.

I suggest you Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird. Do NOT take your bird to any vets in Waco. I have heard horror stories of birds dying from routine check ups, because they don't handle the birds properly or draw too much blood etc.
