Finches won't take bath

Finches will not use a bird bath if it is too deep. Make sure you use something shallow that they can see the bottom of. Sometimes laying a familiar small toy is useful.

Thank you, I boil then filter my water for all my bids that's why I did not understand why they are not going in. The dirt is on the female's head looks like the male might of pooped on her, do you think they will still want to be together after this? Also I only use look warm water for them.

Why are your finches dirty? What degree of dirt are you talking about? All birds have to have grates in bottom of cages because playing around in poop and filth will not only make them dirty but will make them sick, so make sure you have a grate made for cage bottom. Finches require a small bar size so their legs don't go through it and break legs and toes.

As for bathing, you can use a clean, new plastic plant sprayer set on a finer mist to give them soft showers. Make sure water is filtered meaning do not use tap water with chlorine and other chemicals in it. Use warm not hot water in your spray bottle. Most finches use their little baths, so maybe you need to make the water more appealing by filtering it and warming it a little bit. I've never heard of a finch who would not use his bath unless there was something wrong with water.
