my kockateil hit his head and not moving

by Sheron
(Yemen)

my kockateil hits his head by the TV screen and not moving well. it's a week now since the accident, he is moving his legs but can't walk normally, he crowels. he also lost his voice for three days but now trying to talk, he is only one month and two weeks old.

he is improving but very slowely. but today he is very sad and not acting with me like before. I feed him myself as he can't eat himself. I'm giving him Antipiotic and vitamin as the Vet Said. please let me know if he will improve or he will remain like this all his life?

Please get your little chick to an AVIAN vet it needs urgent help. You say you are hand feeding it at the moment but without realizing you may be inflicting more damage on it's neck I do not mean this unkindly.
It has not long ago fledged so therefore I would not let it out of it's cage until evening when the curtains are drawn also I would not get the wings trimmed as birds should be able to fly as is natural for them. Good luck with the vets.

I am so sorry this happened. There is not any way for anyone to tell if your bird will recover, sorry.

I don't know if you have an avian vet you can take your bird to or not. Your bird needs to be x-rayed to see if there are any broken bones.

In the future, please make sure you have your bird's wings trimmed so that they can not fly, unless you have a bird-safe room where your birds can not get injured or chew something toxic.
