my lorikeet is changing colors!

my lorikeet cage just got cleaned and went i came back from a two day trip, and changed his food right before i left. then when i came back i noticed that hisa crop and breast changed from red to yellow!

so my question is why would he change colors like that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bird changing colors

This could be a nutritional problem. Lories have been known to have vitamin A over dose. IT could be form a history of plucking feathers. Plucked feathers re-grow a different color sometimes. I have seen this in other lories. It could also indicate an infection with circovirus. You should have him examined by an avian veterinarian.
