This should be a clear sign that your bird needs to see an avian vet RIGHT NOW.

The lack of medical treatment could result in death.

Birds are fragile animals, and need to see vets just like a dog and cat would.

Please have your bird seen once a yr for a wellness exam. Avian vets are cheaper than you think. Most pet hospitals will work with you on making payments if needed.

I just took my Grey in for a wellness exam, had 4 tests ran on her, and they also checked her oil glands and other parts. I took my bird in b/c she was itching. (turns out she's started her molt) But I had the 4 tests done anyways. I was given "sunshine factor" meds to help. Exam, 4 tests, and meds cost me $276. In my opinion, thats pretty cheap. Course remember I asked for the tests.

You must find out what is wrong with your bird, in order to treat the bird. You will need to Find an Avian Vet for your bird so it can be examined to determine what is wrong and what the potential treatment might be.

There are not over the counter medicines that will help your bird.
