Lovebird seizures
by: The Vet

Seizures are a serious problem and can indicate life-threatening situations. A veterinarian is going to be your only option for diagnosing and treating this problem. The differentials include nutritional deficiencies- calcium deficiency will cause seizures.

If your bird is not on pellets for his diet, then calcium may be the problem. This is easily treated by improving the diet, but initial treatment needs to be administered by an avian veterinarian. Other differentials include infection, epilepsy, and brain tumor.
